I have been loving a couple of blushers from Bourjois for a while now so I thought I would talk to you about each one.
Starting off with the powder blush in the colour ‘Frosted rose’ or in french number 54 ‘Rose frisson’ as it says on the front of the pot. This is a beautiful mid pink with a gold sparkle to it. It goes on very well and the colour is buildable. I use my real techniques blush brush to apply it instead of the teeny tiny brush that comes with it, and which is frankly not good, though it looks cute.
The blusher comes with a mirror and the little pot itself is very sweet and much more interesting than a standard compact. It says on the packaging that it is paraben free, which is a bonus if you like a less synthetic product.
The sparkles add a nice touch as it gives a glow to the cheek and a shimmer but without looking too obvious. It does smell of roses which ordinarily I do not like! but I like this fragrance for some reason, it is a lovely smell that hits you as soon as you open the lid.
Lasting power is pretty good, I can still see this at the end of the day and I only apply a light layer. For the price this is up there with a high end blusher when it comes to performance.
The second of my little gems is the cream blush in 01. This is one of those no effort, no thinking kind of blushers that you can apply with your fingertips and blend out. It starts off as a cream and then turns to a powder. Colour wise It is more of a nude peach than the pink of the Rose frisson. I think this is one of those colours anybody would like as it is very versatile.
If the rose fragrance of the first blusher is not your cup of tea then you will prefer this one as it has no smell whatsoever. It is ultra creamy and blends like a dream.
Staying power again is good and if you dislike shimmery blushers then pick this as it goes on matte.
I have included a picture of each blusher below. The cream blush is to the left, Rose frisson to the right.
What blushers are you loving???
