Bargain product 1

Makeup September 23, 2013 Naomi

I decided I would write a few posts about products that don’t break the bank but deliver on performance. I will write them now and then when things crop up and they will be numbered to make it easier to find them all. This then is Bargain product 1.

Now if you have read my product fails post {if not go find it here!} then you will know I am not a fan of the MUA eye shadows, I will not bore you all to death by going over it again, but basically I don’t think they are good quality. Which is why when I purchased the Mosaic blusher in ‘English Rose’ some weeks ago now I was not expecting great things. How wrong I was!!.

This blusher for me is the perfect light pink, it is a mixture of colours which include lilac tones, neutrals and pinks. You take a big fluffy brush and swirl all the colours together and then apply to the cheeks. As I said the colour you get is a beautiful baby pink with a slight shimmer that looks so good on. I find the colour pay off is really good and you can layer it up for more definition. I have been reaching for this blusher almost every day and even though It is well loved you can hardly see where I have made a dent.

Price wise it retails for £2.50 which is an absolute bargain. I have much pricier blushers that do not perform half as well. I have pale skin and so I do not like a strong blush to my cheeks, this works perfectly as it is subtle, yet the colour still shines through. I have swatched it above so you can get a better idea.

Fall out wise I know from speaking to others that some think this is a little crumbly, but I have not found this to be the case. As the shades are all individual you could also use them as eye shadow, I have tried this and it looked equally good but did not last long without primer. I  love this as a blusher so much it made my makeup bag must haves.

Before I go I would like to add that if you like the bracelet I am wearing in the picture, it was made by my good friend Merle whose Folksy page I will link here.

MUA have some amazing products and the prices are just incredibly low as well. I haven’t tried the mosaic blusher yet but read so many good things about it! Xx
