On to the second installment of my Bargain products series. Part 1 is here if you want to read it.
This time I am talking about the Mudd facial mask. I have been using this product for years, since I was a spotty Teenager! It is a really affordable way to clear the skin and fight spots and congestion without paying a ridiculous price Tag.
Formulated with 100% pure clay and packed with minerals the mudd mask is great at drawing out all the gunk and excess oil from your skin and leaving it fresh and clear. There are a few different formulations of the Mudd mask but I stick with the original mask.
If you get the odd spot like me what I like to do is to dot a little of the mask on the blemish directly as a little spot treatment. Just a heads up though don’t do what I did once and forget you are wearing it, and then answer the door to a delivery person with a parcel. I did wonder why they were staring at me a little strangely, and then later when I looked in the mirror I realized why!!
As a full on mask it does harden on the skin and go tight, so if you don’t like that kind of mask then avoid. I use it when my skin is playing up, looking a bit greasy or congested. As my skin is combination I avoid my dry bits which are usually my cheeks. It does say to put a hot cloth on the face first before applying to open pores, but I frankly miss this out and it still works good.
The consistency is quite thick and when it goes on your skin it has a cooling effect. I will say it is sometimes a pain to get every bit of it off with it being a hardening mask, I find I always miss a bit when removing it! I use my muslin cloth from my cleanse and polish, as this has the right amount of abrasion to get all the mask off.
Results wise it does leave my skin looking much clearer and fresher. The mask retails for 99p for a sachet or £4.99 for a pack 100ml. I buy the pack because it seals nicely and lasts for ever! Price wise it is a brilliant bargain.
