Today I am going to talk about the Botanics heat protection shine serum. We have all been lectured on the importance of protecting our hair from the ravages of heat styling and blow drying. I always thought ‘yeah whatever’, but the more money I spend on shampoo and fancy shmancy straightners then the more it makes sense to not leave my hair a dry frizzy mess.
The Botanics serum also adds shine to the hair and contains conditioning chamomile. The first time I used this I was not expecting great things. It comes in a small pump bottle and has the expected serum texture. The fragrance is lovely!!It says on the bottle that it was developed with Kew Royal Botanic gardens, and it really does smell flowery to me.
On application to wet hair I blow dryed as usual and styled my hair. My hair was sooo soft! I did not think a small amount of serum would make a difference but it did. I have fine hair and I do get a liitle static build up and the dreaded flyaway hair. This took that away and my hair looked smooth and glossy.
I have found in the past that some serums leave the hair weighed down and greasy, but I did not find that with the Botanics one. As you only need a pea size amount I can imagine the 30ml bottle will last me quite a while.
Retailing at Boots for £3.99 this is a beauty steal that is well worth stocking up on. I will definitely be repurchasing it in the near future.
