BBB Beauty Box 2!!

Chit chat November 18, 2013 Naomi

I was a massive fan of the first BBB Beauty Box put together by Jane or the ‘British Beauty Blogger’ as she is better known. I have used and loved all the products, so I naturally jumped at the chance to get my mitts on the second box she bought out on October 30th. I will link Jane’s Blog here.

The box contains a personal selection of products hand picked by Jane herself. It is a mixture of makeup and skincare and was a bargain when you think it cost £22 plus P&P but the value is £150!. The products are ones used by Jane herself, and they come with a lovely little Booklet that explains why they are so good, and is also full of discount codes if you want to order the full sizes.

I personally prefer this type of Beauty box because you know exactly what you are getting up front. I have tried the subscription type Boxes but I find they are very hit and miss, and occasionally you get hardly anything you like in one box.

Enough of the rambling on, I will talk about what I think of the box. I will not go over every single item as this post will be huge! I will give an overall impression and talk about my favourite products from the box. If you are curious and want to know what every item was, then head over to Jane’s blog and read the post she wrote listing each individual thing.

Firstly I will mention the wait time for the box was massive! I waited for 9 days including a weekend which for me was absolute torture. There must have been some mix up somewhere as a 9 day wait for a small box is crazy!! That being said the box itself was full of little gems and I will tell you about my faves.

I am really loving the CND Vinylux Nail polish. This is as close to a gel polish as you are going to get. I have been wearing mine with the top coat over for about 8 days now with only a few tiny chips! Amazing lasting power. I am so in love with this polish that I will be buying more in the next few days.

Next I Love the Mandara spa Tropical blooms Bath milk. This smells beautiful and produces a gentle foam to bathe in. I was surprised to find out you can get some Mandara spa products in Sainsbury’s. I will definitely be re-purchasing this bath product. Free from parabens and chemicals it is gentle yet effective.

The Ren Glycolactic radiance renewal mask has been on my wishlist for quite some time now so I was more than happy to see it in my box. This is a high performance mask that uses fruit acids to exfoliate and brighten the skin leaving you with a more even complexion.I noticed a difference after the first application, my skin looked fresher and more vibrant, and it was so soft to touch. I also must mention the smell it is amazing. To me it smells of honey and orange blossom and fruits. It was a real pleasure to use.

I have now become a big fan of the Vichy Idealia Day cream since using it from my box. This is a lovely little cream that uses AHA’s and polyphenols to boost circulation and promote healthy cell turnover. I found that my skin was really moisturised, soft, and the fine lines looked more diminished. It has a light gel like texture which means it sinks in like a dream and leaves no tacky residue. I have used this everyday since I got the products and I love it!

The Maybelline Rocket mascara I have also used everyday. What I like about this is it is not too wet. I don’t care for a really wet mascara as I find it smudges all over the eye. This also does not clump and defines my lashes much better than others I have used.

The L’occitane hand cream in cherry blossom has to feature in this Blog post as I am a massive L’occitane fan. I have used this cream before and the smell is so fruity and fresh. I find I am constantly sniffing myself after I have applied it! It is really good at leaving your hands soft and hydrated and the little travel size is ideal for your bag or purse.

Lastly I love the little Washi wash cloth. It holds the heat in really well and is much better than a muslin cloth at removing face masks, I like the denser texture, it grips better at the product. It is like a very posh, very nice Flannel!, And it feels so soft.

Overall I love this Beauty box and I insist that Jane produces more!!!. All the products are great and she puts so much thought into what goes in.
