Bourjois chocolate bronzer

Makeup December 16, 2013 Naomi

Buy it, it is a bronzer that looks and smells like chocolate!!. Blog post done! Joking aside I am late to the party when it comes to this bronzer. I have had it sloshing around my beauty drawer for awhile now, and it has been out for ages, I liked it in summer and then forgot about it until I gave it another try and started to really like it again. Today I am talking about the Bourjois Delice de poudre.

The problem with a lot of bronzers is that they leave you with a orange face or the colour is just way too dark. I have very fair skin so I have a hate/hate relationship with bronzers ordinarily. I like this bronzer because the colour is buildable, it is not muddy and you can add to the subtle colour a bit at a time. It also to me contains no shimmer or sparkle which I don’t think you need. Some people have mentioned they think this has slight glints of shimmer in it, but to me this is not evident on the face. You get a choice of two colours and I of course picked the lightest. I believe the darker shade may contain more shimmer.

The smell is very fake chocolate to me,much more perfumed than vanilla, but I don’t mind that. It is still a lovely smell. The packaging is very cute with the little book that you open and close magnetically and then the chocolate shaped bronzer inside. It applies nicely to the face with no fallout of the product. I apply with a big fluffy brush and this seems to work out best.

Price wise it is fairly cheap and like most Bourjois products it performs a lot better than the price tag suggests. For a high street bronzer I do like this product a lot. It goes on well, it is not a dirty orange and it lasts on the face. It will definitely be a re-purchase at some point.

I hate it too if a bronzer makes me look dirty instead of a sunkissed look.
My favorite so far is the bronzer in Sephora Blush Me Twice, some might not like it because it’s not really pigmented but since it’s buildable I prefer it that way.
I’ve been wanting the Bourjois Highlighter though instead of the bronzer.

I really like the Hoola bronzer by Benefit. It has a similar color to that and is a matte bronzer. It’s really good for contouring! I haven’t heard of this bronzer before I’ll have to check it out.

I have heard so good things but haven’t picked up myself…I usually don’t like products that have chocolate scent.

This is great! I haven’t been able to find a good bronzer that doesn’t do strange things to my skin…. Except maybe Guerlain… they’re shades seem to match.

I love Bourjois products. They come up with such wonderful and unique stuff. If you dont mind a matte finish then MAC MSF are good too. I use one to contour my face. Gives it a nice finish without looking OTT.
