The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is one of those cult products that has achieved superstar status amongst the beauty and especially the Blogging community. It has been around for ages now but it still regularly pops up in Blog posts or on favourite lists. I have been curious about its magical powers for awhile now and though I was a but of a skeptic I thought I would give it a whirl.
Firstly what’s in it and what does it do?? Well The ingredients listed include grape seed, rosemary, peppermint oil, glycerin and bitter flower water. It is designed to be a all singing all dancing spray on toner that refreshes the skin making it look better, and also with the added aromatherapy extracts it makes you feel better too.
Smell wise it is a love or hate situation. If you love herbal smells it will be right up your alley so to speak, it reminds me of Liz Earle products before all the takeovers and messing about. I hated it to start with but now I actually quite like it, and it does pep you up a bit when you smell it. Warning it is very strong!.
Does it work?? Well I will say the peppermint oil worries me a bit. On the lips it feels weird and tingly, not sure it should go anywhere near my eyes then???. The radiance bit I can see, it makes the skin look glowy and fresh, but at £11 a bottle is it really worth it?.
For me the answer is No. I don’t think it is magic or wonderful or worth the price tag for the miniscule bottle. To all those Bloggers who are on their tenth bottle I assume you must be brainwashed!!. I do love Caudalie I will just state, their Divine oil is my desert Island product, but for me this is just not worth the hype.
