Ceridwen’s cauldron

Face and Body January 15, 2014 Naomi

First things first the name is very weird for a beauty product,{I believe it is something to do with welsh mythology} when you get over that fact you are left with a really rather amazing bath treatment. Today I am talking about the luxury bathing treatment from Lush with the unusual name.

I love Lush for all it’s amazing bubble bars and luxury bath melts. The smells are so good as are the shops, it is an experience to go Lush shopping. The products can be on the pricier side but I think the high quality ingredients and the way they work so well justifies the price.

Ceridwen’s cauldron is not a bubble bath so if you like bubbles get something else. What it does is turns the bath into a milk bath{think Cleopatra} and with the skin softening milk comes the gorgeous aroma, this smells amazing!! it will scent your entire house. To me it smells oaty and vanilla and comforting. Out of all the bath products from Lush this is by far my favourite and I reckon I have purchased around 12 in my shopping lifetime.

For dry skin this is a brilliant product. It leaves the skin like silk and highly perfumed. I save this as a treat when I want a special bath. The product comes in a muslin bag with the solid oils and oats inside, that way you are not left with bits floating around in the bath, I know some people like that and get the other Lush products with glitter in and flowers, but I do not like the thought of ‘bits’ sticking to my lady parts.

After the product has dissolved into the water I like to take the muslin and wash my skin with it, the muslin is slightly exfoliating so I find this is a good use of it rather than just throwing it away, you also get more product for your money. The cauldron retails for £4.25 and if you think this is for only one bath you want to make the most of it.

I highly recommend this Lush product. It will leave you with soft, moisturised skin and it is not greasy despite the oils that make up the ingredients. All the ingredients are natural and include cocoa butter, rose absolute, and omega 3 walnut oil. Perfect even for sensitive skin.

I will leave a link to the Lush online shop here.

    Hi Ni,
    I had to leave a comment :O)
    I also love Ceridwen’s cauldron!
My lovely hubby bought me a lovely box of Lush for Christmas and I am saving my cauldron as long as I can.
My box also contained a little tin of Lemony flutter which is a fantastic cuticle butter. I have very dry cuticles which isn’t helped by my jewellery making but I have discovered the little tin is fantastic. If you haven’t yet tried it and have cuticle problems give it a go, I love it and it seems to work.
Of course the boxes all my goodies arrive in go to good use storing my crafted jewellery and it gives them a little Lush scent. :O)
