Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

Makeup February 13, 2016 Naomi

O.k I hold my hands up, I am a girl with very expensive tastes. Now don’t get me wrong I love a bit of Primark, and I do love to find a bargain, but if I am truly honest I do like the finer things in life.{even if I can’t afford them all!}

On then to my new foundation of choice. Chanel is for me a classic, beautiful, and Luxury brand. I had read a lot of good reviews about the vitalumiere before I purchased it. I like a sheer foundation that does not leave you caked in makeup, most of the time I just wear a tinted moisturiser so this was right up my alley.

The foundation is very fluid, almost watery. You have to give the bottle a good shake first before you apply it to mix all the contents. I have read that you shouldn’t use a brush to apply as it soaks it all up, but I do, and it goes on really well.

The coverage is light so if you want it to cover spots etc it may not be for you. The colour is buildable but I am not sure how well it looks layered up. I apply a light coat and then go in with concealer if I need to. I don’t powder but that is personal choice.

The foundation for me looks good all day. I have combination skin that has got a little dry this winter so I make sure I moisturise first and then apply, otherwise it does settle a bit on the dry patches.

Price wise it is around the thirty pound mark, not cheap but for me the consistency and glowy finish are worth the price tag. I like that it has SPF 15 included to save me bothering with that step. The bottle is a bit of a puzzler, as you have no clue how much is left in it, and it is so light that you can’t even guess, but that is only a minor niggle.

I am wearing the foundation in the above pic, sorry quality is not brill but you get the idea, also sorry I look so bloody grumpy! What can I say I was never a morning person.

Do you like Chanel? What foundation do you Love?? Leave a comment..

    I’ve been wanting to try that foundation. I don’t mind paying extra for a foundation if it makes my skin look great. I’ve been loving Armani’s Face Fabric, it’s so soft and gives really nice coverage.

    I like that it has a SPF in, nothing ages like the sun. Great if you have good skin I think

    I’ve never tried a chanel foundation, it looks nice! However I need something with a little more coverage. I love that is has SPF as well, more foundations definitely need to include it because a lot of people neglect to apply it as well!
