CND Solar oil

Nail polish September 8, 2013 Naomi

Another great little product found in the beauty box created by the lovely Jane aka The British Beauty Blogger.

The CND Solar oil is a nail treatment containing vitamin E, sweet Almond oil and jojoba oil that delivers nutrients right to the Nail bed to give you stronger, healthier nails and to stop the nails from being dry and brittle. It is known in the trade as ‘The manicure in a bottle’ and a lot of Beauty guru’s rave about it.

As I always mention ‘smells’ in all my posts I will tell you that if you are a lover of marzipan{The smell is from the Almond oil} you will love this. As you apply it to the nails it has that unmissable  fragrance, I love it! and If you don’t like it don’t worry it does not linger after the product has dried.

My own personal bottle is the sample size that came in my beauty box, and I am loving it so much I am trying to eke it out and use it sparingly to make it last. I apply mine just before bed to the nails and concentrating on the cuticles. It comes in a nail varnish type bottle with the brush, so you simply brush it on and rub it in. I put mine on nude nails and over polish and  you can put it on over acrylics, the oil will penetrate.

I am really enjoying this product, my nails are not particularly weak even though I commit the ultimate nail sin and sometimes bite mine. Even so I have noticed the dry bits I get on my cuticles are now going away and the overall appearance of my nails is much better.

Even though this is an oil I do not find it goes on oily, it soaks in really quickly and it does not leave a residue. I will admit I do not always remember to use this every night, but I do use it 3 or 4 times a week and I am still getting results.

CND Solar oil retails for around  7-8 pounds for 15ml.

Which Nail oils do you rate??. Leave a comment…

I use the Essie apricot oil, and it’s fine but personally I think you can use almost any any oil to look after the cuticles and to be kind to your nails every now and then. Xx

I agree, I also put on my Caudalie divine oil now and then. I prefer an oil to the cuticle creams you can get. I do love the CND one though it is very good and I love the smell.x
