Current Favourites

Chit chat February 8, 2015 Naomi

I am a bit late doing the January favourites post so I have sneakily called this post Current Favourites to detract from the fact that I am not a regular Blogger. Though I love blogging and the blogging community, having a job and being a single mum means I don’t get a lot of time to myself, so for me this blog is a hobby, and because of this you may get the odd late post, or a million late posts!.

Enough waffling on and lets get started on the beauty. First up I have been loving………

COLAB dry shampoo. I have the pink one that has the oriental fragrance{Tokyo} and I have to say it smells lovely! This is a product endorsed by the model Ruth Crilly, Regular readers will know I love Ruth{in a non stalker pervy way} and I will link her website here. She is a million times more professional than me and if she says a product is good it usually means it is. The dry shampoo is the best I have ever used, no white patches! and for a quick freshen up inbetween washes it works really well.

Essie Ignite the night. I am a huge magpie, if it sparkles then I will nearly always love it. This is a gunmetal glitter polish that looks good alone{two coats looks best} or layered over other colours. The glitter is quite chunky and dense so you get good coverage, and it really does catch the light to make your nails pop. I wear this all the time, and yes it is a pig to remove, but it is well worth it.

Weleda Lavender bath milk. Another Ruth recommendation. This is perfect for me as I love lavender. It turns your bath water into a milky Cleopatra type indulgence. Perfect just before bed as it is relaxing and comforting. I have dry skin and it never drys me out.

Molton Brown Templetree Body wash. If you like strong smelling shower products then this is the one for you. I adore this fragrance and so does my daughter. It lingers on your skin long after you have left the bath or shower. Not the most moisturising gel I have ever used, but lovely all the same. The top note in this is jasmine which I don’t always like but here it just smells so good!

Garnier Micellar wipes. I think everybody and their dog now knows what a micellar water is, and with their popularity at its peak we now get micellar wipes. I am a bit hard to please when it comes to wipes, and yet I really like these. They are made for sensitive skin which I don’t have but I do have sensitive eyes, and so with this in mind if you want to use them to remove your eye makeup as well they are ideal. So far they have not broke me out so good news there, if I was being picky I would say they are very wet, I wanted to say moist but that is a horrible word{shudder}.

Lastly I have been loving the Nyx Butter gloss in Tiramisu and crème brulee. Mentioned them a few times on the blog and there are some swatches below, so all I will add is that they are long wearing, glossy, smell of vanilla and chocolate and look great, what’s not to like!!.

One coat hastily applied, but you can see the dense glitter in the bottle.

Do you have any current faves?? leave a message and your blog links.

I’m kind of a magpie myself. The NYX butter glosses are pretty great. I need to pick up a few more at Ulta today.
