Yet another Elemis review, and yet again it’s a good one. I am already a fan of the Emma Hardie balm, though for me the balm texture takes some getting used to, and this one is way up there with the best of the best.
For those unaccustomed to using a balm it starts off as a solid in the pot, you warm it in your hands and it turns into an oil that you use to cleanse your face. The balm for me feels weird, but I get past that because I like the results and it is nice to massage your face with the oil.
I have a little travel size that I have been using every day for the past few weeks. The fragrance of this is lovely, I do love those aromatherapy fragrances, all herbally and essential oils. I will say for me this is easier to use than the Emma Hardie, it goes on easier and has more slip, it is altogether a softer texture.
cleansing wise it is very good, I have read a few reviews that said it did not remove eye makeup but I find it works fine for me. It left my skin soft and well cleansed and it has never broken me out even though technically it is for a dryer skin that I do not have.
My tiny pot has lasted me well and is still going strong. I remove this with a flannel and I do leave it on while I take a bath, it leaves a lovely glow to the skin!. Price wise it is around £40, not bad for a high end cleanser, and it is paraben and mineral oil free for those like me that prefer that sort of thing.
