Elemis skin nourishing Milk bath

Face and Body November 11, 2013 Naomi

I know, I know, not another Elemis post! I promise I don’t secretly work for them, and they are not sending me free stuff { in my dreams!!} I just love their products and I find they work so well.

Lets start by talking about the fragrance. This is hands down the most comforting warming scent I have ever smelled. If you have never tried the milk bath think baby powder, and milk, and sweet scents, and you will be close to guessing what it smells like. I love this fragrance and I always sniff the bottle after pouring it in the bath { weirdo}.

The milk bath has been formulated to be gentle enough to use on sensitive and very dry skin. You can even pour some out of the bottle and apply it neat instead of using it in the bath. I pour a capful or three in the bath and use it as a treatment when my skin is acting up. In winter I get mild eczema on my body and I have never found that the milk bath irritates my skin or upsets it.

The milk protein base is rich in vitamins and amino acids that respect the natural PH of the skin and moisturise and feed the skin leaving it soft and supple. Ingredients wise it contains natural plant collagens, oat extracts and Japanese camellia oil. It is said to be based on Cleopatra’s milk baths! how decadent is that.

If you suffer from a dry scalp you can rub a little of this onto your head to soothe and calm the skin. It is also good as a hair treatment. I like to run some through the ends of my hair where it gets dry, and then shampoo out later.

Price wise this is expensive, selling for £42! but you do get 400ml and it does last a long time. It is multi award winning and the ingredients are very high quality. Because of the price I keep this as a special treat and buy it at xmas time as a gift to myself!.

I will just add that this is not really a foaming product so if you like a bubble bath this will not be your cup of tea. That being said if you want a luxury, pampering, indulgent Bath product then go check it out.

This sounds really nice but do you really think it would last a long time? I seem to use bath products up super quick!

Thanks Rachael, I have been nominated before so I have done the post already but thank you anyway. You should try the milk bath it won’t bother your eczema and it is very moisturising.x

This looks like such a good buy; I also suffer with eczema in the winter, so this might be just the ticket!

Also, I’ve just nominated you for a Liebster Award; it’s a nice way to get to know new blogs =)

    Take care! xx
