February Favourites

Chit chat March 10, 2014 Naomi

As always with my favourites it will be a bit of a mixed bag. I have not really tried out too many new products this month but a few gems have arisen. Here are the things I have been loving in Feb!..

The Walking Dead. This is an amazing series. If you have been living on the moon for the past year or so and know nothing about it I will briefly fill you in. Basically it is a story about the survivors of a zombie apocalypse. My fave is the lovely Daryl Dixon played by Norman Reedus {it’s the gorgeous shoulders, messy hair and the crossbow, what a combo!}. The show is so good and I love every single episode. If you have never watched it go give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Wild Things With Dominic Monaghan. Yes he’s an actor but he is also a huge insect/animal fan and he really does know his stuff. I watch this with my daughter, I love snakes, she does not, yet we still both love it. The show is about Dominic travelling the world meeting wild things in their natural habitat. Even if you don’t like creepy crawlies Dominic’s relaxed easy style of  presenting will captivate you.

Kiehl’s avocado eye cream. This got a mention in my last blog post so if you want a more detailed write up you can find it here. Great brand, great products, you can rely on Kiehl’s to really deliver. I have used this eye cream every night since I got it.

Simple clear skin cleansing wipes. I got the blue pack which is the oil balancing kind. My skin is combination but my T zone can get super oily and I do get break outs on my chin, I like these wipes for a freshen up in the morning and to remove the first few layers of make up in the evening. I have not found they dried out the other parts of my face that are not prone to oil. I will say I am not a fan of the Parabens in here, sort it out Simple!!

Neom Moroccan blush rose hand cream. Regular readers to my blog will be going “But Naomi you always say you hate rose scented products” and technically I do but there is something about this particular rose scent that is not offensive to me. I find it musky and spicy and I like it! The cream itself is rich and moisturising and sinks in like a dream. You really can’t go wrong with Neom Products, they are always high end and Beautiful.

Bourjois Healthy balance powder. Love ,love, love, this powder. It goes on so well ,feels like satin and gives amazing coverage. This is now my go to powder and I use it all the time. It is the mixture of fruit therapy’s, Sharon fruit is hydrating yet yuzu fruit is anti shine, sounds like a contradiction yet it works.  Never cakey it looks flawless.

Sanctuary spa Heel balm. The smell of this is herbal and reminds me of Liz Earle products, I find if I put this on every day my feet look so much better, I will say this is not the most hydrating foot cream in the world but it does deliver results if you use it religiously. The consistency is thick but it soaks in well.

17 Blow out Mascara. Not a huge fan of mascara but I do love this one. Enriched with Argan oil to condition the lashes it claims to boost lash volume and the hold that curl, does it?? yes I think so. The consistency is very wet so avoid if that kind of mascara does not float your boat. Super black in colour {is that even a makeup term? think I made it up!!} It looks great on.

Jasper Conran Tote Bag. I adore tote bags, I secretly want a Chanel one but as my  bank balance won’t stretch to the huge price tag I will have to content myself with this one. The space inside this thing is amazing, I could fit an elephant in here! ok maybe not an elephant but I stuff this bag with all manner of shopping and it all fits in. With 3 separate compartments including an inner zipped one, it looks much more expensive than it is, I also love the cute lining. This is my everyday work bag and I also like how you can wear it on your shoulder as well as in your hand.

That’s it for now, Leave me a comment and a link to your blog!……

Absolutely love simple care products. They seems to be the only drugstore product that works for me.
