Lipstick loving

Makeup October 21, 2013 Naomi

I have got a favourite lip product this chilly October time that I have been reaching for a lot. I actually purchased it quite a while back now, and it ended up at the bottom of my makeup bag unloved and forgotten about. Somehow it worked its way to the top and I tried it again and I loved it!!!. I am talking about the Rimmel lasting finish lipstick in 206 Nude pink.

Rimmel tells us this is 8 hour wear, I say “Behave yourself Rimmel”. It is long lasting, I have found it lasts really well, but it has yet to last me 8 hours!. The colour is really beautiful. It is a nude pink with a big hint of peach that is lovely on the lips. It has a slight sparkle, but this gives a nice sheen to the lip without adding glitter which can look a little OTT. In the bullet it looks more peachy than pinky but I will leave that up to you to decide. I personally think calling it nude ‘pink’ is a bit of a con. See my swatch above to make your own mind up.

I will say this is not the most moisturising lipstick I own but then it has not dried out my lips yet. It goes on creamy and the colour is well pigmented. I am a massive fan of nude lipsticks and this is one of the better ones. It also looks good with a nice gloss over the top to bring out the colour. It does fade after you have worn it for a few hours but it still leaves a hint of colour.

Fragrance wise it is perfumed. It smells to me a bit like a mixture of coconut and vanilla, which I like. It is not an overpowering taste on the lips.

I got mine from Boots and they retail for £4.99 which is good value for a lipstick. I will be looking at other shades in the range and buying more, but I will definitely be swatching them first and not going by the name!

Tell me what lipstick you love, leave a comment and go subscribe!!!
