There are two iconic skincare brands that stand out for me. One is my beloved Elemis and the other is L’occitane. L’occitane stores are beautiful, luxury skincare items that use top quality ingredients and always deliver great results. If I want to pamper myself then you can guarantee that I will turn to my all time favourites, which nine times out of ten belong to either of these beauty brands.
L’occitane relaxing rituals is a little mini kit that is to be used before bedtime in order for you to wind down ready for sleep. I am off with my daughter on our annual all girls holiday to Centre parcs, and if you are anything like me then sleeping in a strange bed can sometimes throw off your sleeping pattern. I am quite a good sleeper, but when I am away from home I can often take longer to relax into sleep. This little kit is perfect, dinky little sizes but products that really work.
What’s in the kit?? Well included is a pillow spray, shower gel and body lotion. The spray and gel are from the aromachologie range, or aromatherapy for me and you. They contain essential oils such as Lavender and Bergamot, to calm and soothe. The smell is herbal and very strong, it is a bit of a marmite fragrance, fortunately I like it a lot. The body cream is from the ultra rich line, so it smells more baby powder and is super hydrating.
The trick is to layer the oils so obviously you use the gel first, then moisturise and then spray the mist all over your bed linen. I love how the ingredients are natural and the essential oils are of a very high quality. The shower gel is not the most moisturising you will ever use but the rich body lotion makes up for this and it does produce a good lather.
The spray I have been using for quite awhile now and I still have some left, so it will last you if you intend to take it on holiday as I do. The small sizes are good for travel and at Ten pounds for the whole kit it won’t cost you a whole lot. I got mine from Debenhams and as they do a lot of good sales you may be able to pick it up for even less.
Does it work?? I find for me it does. I love Lavender anyway and it does relax me so as a little pamper before bedtime is just a nice way to improve your well-being.
