Lush Ocean Salt

Face and Body August 25, 2013 Naomi

I am a big Lush fan. The stars of the show I think are all the Bath Bombs and Bubble bars but there are some other little Gems in the range. I also want to say at this point that the shops are amazing, you can tell there is a Lush shop up ahead half a mile away, from the smell wafting down the street.

Ocean Salt is their ever so zingy facial scrub which is made with exotic ingredients such as Lime, grapefruit, sea salt and vodka {hate the drink, don’t mind slapping it on my face}. It smells like a cocktail and has a bright blue colour that I suppose is made to look like the ocean.

The scrub is not a fine grain so if you prefer a smoother less scrubby texture then this won’t be your cup of tea. It is very coarse which I suppose is the sea salt, I like this because unless I have physically removed at least three layers of skin, I don’t feel like my skin has been scrubbed enough. I will add though that it is not harsh or over stripping. You can also use ocean Salt as a body scrub but I have other products for this so I just use it on my face.

For me it is a very good product,it leaves the skin squeaky clean and fresh and as I have an oily T-zone it seems to sort out the grease in that area. It never leaves my skin feeling dry or damaged and it does not give me spots.

I will say before I stop rambling on that when you open the tub the coarser salt seems to be at the top, so I always give it a mix before applying it to my skin.

The price of the Ocean Salt is £7.25 for 100ml on the Lush website. Not the cheapest of exfoliators but one of the most effective.
Which Lush products do you rate????

I too love lush especially the shampoo bars and the bath bombs.
What I really want to know is would this product help a middle aged man who is prone to breakout in milk spots?

Milia is a tricky one as the causes are not always known. I would suggest keeping the skin as clean as you can but use products that are gentle as they are not supposed to be scratched.
The ocean salt may be too coarse for your skin type.Hope this helps.
