Makeup Bag Must haves.

Makeup August 26, 2013 Naomi

I first got into makeup as a young girl, I would raid any of my female family members bags and pick out any make up that caught my eye, and then proceed to smear it on my face. I have a very vivid memory of being about 8 and putting my lovely Nanna’s pan stick foundation all over my hand because I loved the smell of it.

Moving on a bit I now spend many a happy hour with my daughter looking at the makeup counters and aisles in Boots or Superdrug, and getting excited when I spot a new product. My makeup bag is the Ted baker bow bag that is so popular at the moment{and rightly so it is gorgeous} which is filled to capacity, and it now strains me to fasten the zip.

I have tried many brands out in my time, but now I feel I have a bag that is just right for me and contains products that I am very happy with. Here then are my makeup must haves;

Urban Decay Naked palette. Brilliant palette, made my desert island top picks, full of matte and shimmer eyeshadows, all flattering to wear and great colour pay off.

Rimmel apocolips. Great lipgloss,long wearing on the lip and really bright, funky colours. I like nude eclipse and Nova.

Collection lasting perfection concealer. Every Beauty guru raves about this concealer and I can see why. Covers redness and spots really well and lasts all day. Bullet proof make-up.

Revlon Lip Butters. My hands down favourite lip balm type lipstick. Another of my Desert Island picks. so creamy on the lip, briliant shine, and a big choice of colours.

MUA mosaic blush. Really cheap blusher that looks so pretty on the cheek,as the name suggests it is a mosaic pattern of mixed colours that includes pink, lilac,and bronzey shades.

Real techniques brushes. These brushes by Samantha chapman {one half of pixiwoo} are the best brushers you can buy. No shedding and super soft on the face. Buy them, you won’t regret it.

Mac mineralize skin finish. Great little setting powder, on good skin days I wear this on its own without any other base.

Bourjois cream blush. easy to wear and put on, this blusher is idiot proof. Just apply to the cheeks with your hands and blend in. I have the shade 01 which is the nude version.

Bourjois bronzing powder. The one that smells like chocolate so I had to have it {serious chocoholic!} lovely colour, you won’t look like you’ve been Tangoed!!

Dr Jart BB cream. Another Desert Island pic. I wear this almost everyday. Love it. Great finish and no break outs.

Lanolips with colour. In a nutshell this is sheep grease!,sounds gross but it is the Lanolin that makes it super hydrating and glossy. Lovely colour with a nice sheen. I wear the shade ‘rhubarb’.

Maybelline 24hr colour Tatoo. I wear the shade ‘on and on bronze’. Super long wearing eyeshadow in a cream formulation. Does not crease on me. Looks flattering on the eye.

B all defining and volumising mascara. Final product, on  a par with my beloved Maybelline the falsies. This mascara is waterproof and conditions the lashes.

That’s it for now, until even more fabulous products come out!, what are your makeup bag must haves??
