Maybelline Honey Beige lipstick

Makeup May 5, 2014 Naomi

Ever on the hunt for that eternal nude lipstick I enjoyed a trip to London recently where I picked up the Latest in my collection, the Maybelline colour sensational in Honey beige.

For starters this is a very creamy lipstick, it goes on well and feels lovely on the lip. I would say this is a true nude ie it is a brown light nude that I think most people can pull off. If you like in your face bold colour this is not the lippy for you, but if like me you want a subtle everyday colour that you can wear all day then look no further. Maybelline describe this as a flesh toned colour. It is opaque and not sheer in anyway so you get a good wash of colour.

Fragrance and taste wise this is the typical Maybelline vanilla scent that most of their lipsticks have. I like it and I do sniff the bullet on occasions{don’t judge me} even if I am not wearing it!. Colour wise it is true to the look of it and it is very pigmented so one sweep of colour is enough.

Wear time is pretty decent, I have had mine on now for around 3-4 hours and It is still looking good. It does not dry the lip out, and though not super shiny it does go well with a gloss over the top. I am interested to try the other colours in the nude collection and I did spy some Nail polishes too that would go well with it. I believe in the States this is called the Buffs collection.

I got mine from Boots for £6.99 and I will be back for another look at the other shades.

Nice nude shade, although I suspect it would be a little bit too brown for me :o/ Xx

I’m still trying to find my perfect ‘nude’ colour, but haven’t found it yet. I’m a pinkish kind of girl, so I don’t think I would try the colour you bought. It’s very pigmented, I’ll give it that!

    Maybe I’ll see you around?

Nude is such a ‘now’ shade. I really like the natural look, so I’m with you on choice. I’ve never used this brand but vanilla sounds yummy! Tracey –

I have never worn a nude lip color before. I wonder how this would look on me.

This seems quite good, maybe I will try it out! A lip swatch would be great, but I know that, sometimes I’m not in the mood to do lip swatches… 😀
    Have a great week!

I don’t really wear nude lippies, in love with bold colors now-but that’s probably because i haven’t find the right nude lippie for myself! LOL, i sniff my lipbalms from its tube, i really love the ones that smells like Strawberry Poky >.<
