New Purchases, Decleor and Gale Hayman

Face and Body March 7, 2015 Naomi

I decided not to do a February favourites this time as I have been mainly sticking to my old tried and tested bits and bobs, though I have tried out a few new sample sizes and amongst those were a couple of products that really stood out for me.

Decleor is a brand that is used up and down the country in spas and salons. I think it never really registered with me because of my love for Elemis, and being another Salon brand that is what I usually gravitated towards. If you read my last post on Getting my gel nails done then you will know I have visited my local salon and that is where I noticed the beautician stocked and used Decleor.

Regular readers will know I love a bit of QVC and that is where I found a great little try me kit of Decleor products. I will link it Here. I have been trying the products for a week or so now and though I love them all the face products really stood out for  me. My absolute fave of the bunch is the Neroli Night Balm. This is a thick balm that you melt between your fingers and apply to the face at night. It is specifically for skin that is dehydrated, lackluster and in need of a pick me up. I have noticed lately that my skin is looking a bit grey and tired and so this was right up my street. The smell alone is just gorgeous! I adore Neroli{which comes from the bitter orange tree}.It also contains Camomile which is a perfect scent to make you realx. The texture is lovely and just glides on , not too greasy either. The next morning my skin looked so fresh and plumped up. I have tried it out for a few nights now and got good results.

The next product I am enjoying is the Hydra Floral expert Mask. The texture of this is unusual. It starts off as a cream but as you massage it in it turns into an oil. You leave it on your skin for ten minutes and then wash it off. It leaves your skin like silk and baby soft to the touch. I have enjoyed using this in the bath and as a quick pick me up after work when I have cleansed my face.

The kit comes with an oil that I have not tried yet, plus a light day cream which is really nice and again smells gorgeous.. All in all the face products are really good quality and work very well. The body products that come with the kit I have not used much yet as I am using up old opened stuff first, though first impressions are good.

On to the Gale Hayman. This is another QVC brand, and I have had dealings with them before. I love the 14kt gold lipstick, the colour really suits me and it is a good long lasting product. I have tried the lip lift before but for a lip balm, which it primarily is, it is very expensive and unless you have cash to splash it is a bit of a splurge product. Lip lift is a collagen infused lip balm that works to improve the look of the lip area. I do really like this because you can use it under or over lipstick and it just makes your lips look a little fuller and glossy and in better condition. The taste is a little funky, it is a bit synthetic but I can get passed that as it works so well.

The eye lift gel is another great little product. Being a gel it is lightweight and easy to apply, and if you pop it in the fridge it is very cooling, perfect for the hot weather{whenever that may be}. I  find this is moisturising and de puffing{full of plant extracts}and so it improves the eye area and is great under eye makeup, a little goes a long way. The tube is great for a holiday bag or to take to the gym, as is the cute lip lift shaped like a lipstick. I am not sure I would repurchase them all the time as the price is high but as an occasional treat then fine.

Sounds like a great produce 🙂 I’m not sure why I didn’t do this before, but putting these things in the fridge is such a clever idea! I’m trying the clinque moisture surge at the moment and that’s pretty refreshing too :)x
