Nivea good-bye cellulite gel cream

Face and Body August 4, 2014 Naomi

Cellulite is a horrible horrible thing, along with my stretch marks that I got when I was pregnant I also developed the tell tale dimples on my bum and thighs. At first I was not to bothered about it, but now I find it bothers me, especially in summer when I take my daughter swimming, and all I can see in the mirror is my wobbly, dimpled rear end!.

I have tried quite a few different cellulite products over the years, some are ridiculously expensive, some not so, but all have failed miserably. I have tried the dimpled massagers that are supposed to break down fat, they also don’t really do a lot. I was watching/reading about Anna Saccone talk about cellulite on her Blog and You tube channel[which I love!} and she was talking about the Nivea cream and how much she liked it, so I purchased a tube and covered myself with the stuff and crossed my fingers.

I will just say that I am not overweight and I do Yoga, swimming and walk the dog, so I do get some exercise too. I do think these things don’t work in isolation so I am dry body brushing, drinking lots of water, eating healthily, and using the cream. So far so good.

How do I find it??? well for starters the gel texture is so easy to apply, it sinks in easily and smells lovely too. It is a funny blue colour {see pics} and the tube tells me it is a gel-cream, a sort of mix of the two. To me it is more gel.

I have been applying it twice a day for at least a week and a bit now, the tube tells me that I will see a difference in 2 weeks but I will say already the skin looks better, I can see the cellulite still but the skin looks smoother and more taut. I dry body brush first and then apply a generous amount of gel, and I do think it is working, I will stick to this routine and use up all the tube, and let you know how I get on at a later date.

The gel-cream contains the magical q10 plus that all the Nivea products that are firming contain ,this natural skin ingredient is a coenzyme that helps repair and firm the skin and is included in a lot of Nivea products now. I have included a list of the ingredients below, and was pleased to see it is Paraben free.

I am not expecting any miracles from this little tube, but I do like it and I will keep using it. I got mine from Boots and it was around £5, they also do a serum for cellulite too, which I would like to try. I certainly don’t think I can cure my cellulite but I do think I can make the skin look better.
