When it comes to cleansers I am usually a creature of habit, I love my trusty Liz Earle Cleanse and polish and more often than not will use that, but when I got a little sample pot of the Ole Henriksen melting cleanser in a beauty box I quickly became a convert.
The cleanser is basically an oil that you massage onto dry skin and then add water to emulsify it and turn it into a lovely milk. It really is great at getting off every scrap of makeup, even for those of us that like to trowel it on sometimes, one thing I was disappointed in is the fact that it is not in any way zesty, it is bright orange and contains vitamin C, but to me the fresh orange smell is not there.
when you add water and turn it into a milk it feels amazing on the skin, almost silky in texture. I find it leaves my skin not only clean but really soft and hydrated. The ingredients list includes good stuff such as Rose hip oil and cherry oil, both nourish and protect the skin.
I have a dinky travel size but I don’t use a lot and so it will hopefully last me a good amount of time, the full size pot is around £24, not cheap but for a good cleanser well worth it.
Gentle enough to use on the eyes it does get off mascara and will not sting or irritate. I also like the fact that it is paraben and sulfate free.
As it is an oil you need to really make sure you rinse it all off, but I have not found it was sticky or left any residue.
