Pamper Night

Face and Body August 27, 2013 Naomi

Sometimes when you get a spare minute, when your hubby is not  yelling for his Tea or your children don’t need you to find that ever missing bit of Lego, it is nice to have some me-time. A time to pamper yourself and use all the lovely products that you have purchased.

For me pamper night always starts with a bath, and that bath has to have bubbles of some sort. I like the Deep steep Tangerine and Melon Bubble bath. It foams like a regular bubble bath would, but it does not contain any of the harsh surfactants or chemicals. I love the fruity smell but if I want something more relaxing then you can’t beat the weleda lavender bath milk.

Next I like to light a candle, any will do but if you want luxury and don’t mind the price tag then go for any of the Neom ones. Failing that I also like just the ordinary Tea lights you can get from the pound shops {one extreme to another!} I think anything looks better in candle light and it is much more relaxing than having the light on.

In the bath dig out your favourite shower gels. I like to use mine with the little exfoliating gloves you can buy from any old supermarket. They are great at sloughing off dead skin and making your skin glow. At the same time I will be brave and use a pumice stone on my feet{my feet are bad!} so this may take a while.

By now the kids or your hubby will be banging on the door to use the loo/tell you something/because you’re wanted on the phone. Ignore them and  after shampooing your hair apply a nice hair mask. If I am going budget I will use the Dove repairing mask,if luxury then the Macadamia deep repair masque. Both are good.

Out of the Bath apply a good body lotion. I like a dry oil such as my beloved Caudalie or I will use the Palmers cocoa butter because it smells of chocolate and cake and I like both!.

If I have more time I will also apply a face mask. Depending on your skin type use what is best for you. I like the Eve Lom rescue Mask, it is pricey but it gives good results. A budget option is the Mudd clay masks you can get from the chemists, good for oily skin and to clear out pores.

Finally I put some Moroccan oil in my hair and blow dry. I like this oil as it  flattens down my crazy, flyaway hair and makes it look sleek and smooth.

What products do you use to pamper yourself??
