Physicians Formula mood boosting blush

Makeup March 17, 2014 Naomi

First of all I was really skeptical of the mood boosting claims, to be honest I purchased this blush for the cute packaging and the fact that the colour looked so pretty. Does it work?? well parts of it do.

Mood boosting?? I don’t think so . For starters it is supposed to be Rose scented, which as regular readers know I hate! In my opinion it does not smell of rose, it smells of nothing. When IĀ  first got it there was a slight floral smell, nothing offensive but now as I have worn it a few times it smells of nothing! I have not got a clue how it is supposed to cheer me up if I can’t smell it. I think this part of the blush is highly exaggerated.

Now to the good stuff. The colour itself is beautiful, who would not like the swirls of pink in different shades, and just look at the cute design of hearts and the oh so pretty hot pink packaging. This bit they got so right. It looks great right from the start and it makes you want to use it. The blush itself goes on well and lasts for ages, I am not a fan of the small brush you get to apply it with, the bristles are scratchy and it is too small to be any good, but it will do for out and about touch ups.

I have worn this blush almost every day since I got it and it is now one of my favourites. Be warned it is super pigmented so use with caution, you can easily put too much on. On the cheek I will say it is more rose than pink, but as I have a million other pink shades I am not bothered.

Colour wise this blush is great, mood boosting, not for me! It is not shimmery but leaves a nice sheen to the cheek and it looks pretty all day.

I think I am finally going to buy this since I like that it leaves a nice sheen rather than shimmer šŸ˜€

I have never tried anything from this brand, it’s not available in the Uk I don’t think, the bronzers catch my eye more than the blush, after seeing reviews they all look to shimmery for me, a girl who liked matte blush and shimmery highlight bronzer x

I absolutely love this blush. I bought it almost a year ago when it first came out also just because it was super cute. When I got it I thought at first that it was going to be a little too bright pink for me but blending it the right way, it looks great! I also love the smell.
