Ren Invisible Pores Detox Mask

Face and Body December 6, 2013 Naomi

I received this mask in my BBB beauty box and at first it was a bit overshadowed by the glycolactic mask that I really loved. I tried this mask a few days ago now and I love it just as much as the other one! It is a really powerful product that works really hard on the skin.

The mask is designed to work on combination to oily skin to draw out the impurities and to tighten pores. My skin is combination but I get a very oily chin, and that is where most if not all my breakouts occur. I use this mask once a week { I am wearing it whilst I write this post!} and for me I find this is enough. I have read other reviews that have said it makes them break out because it brings all the gunk to the surface, but for me it just clears the congestion and leaves me with really clean skin.

The mask has some nice ingredients that include;

  • Proteins from Tropical Spirulina restructure the skin and encourage cell renewal
  • Essential Fatty Acids from Red Tea leave the skin soft, smooth and with fewer imperfections
  • Minerals from French clay to clear impurities

The mask is fairly thick but it goes on quite easily. I leave mine for about 15 minutes and then remove with my Washi wash cloth. The tube tells us to rub the mask with your fingertips to aid exfoliation and to take it off this way. I find this is super messy and time consuming and I never bother with this. I still get good results from removing it my own way.

The mask is great at calming down any blemishes, I spot dab a little of the product and cover individual break outs that way if I don’t want to apply a full face mask. It calms down the redness and helps to heal the spot. As a full on mask it leaves my face really fresh and clean looking. I also find any blackheads on my nose are reduced.

Fragrance wise it has a herbal/ lavender smell that I like.

The Ren Detox mask retails for around the eighteen pound mark.

    I love a good mask. I’d love the find one that reduces pores like this one.

    I haven’t tried this yet, but it seems like a great rich masque and to be honest most of the stuff from REN is excellent! Xx

    I think I’m gonna have to get my mitts on this mask! I’ve struggled with constant breakouts for over two years now (mainly on my chin too!) so I’m always up for trying things out. xx
