Revlon Just Bitten kissable Balm stains.

Makeup September 4, 2013 Naomi

Is it me or are the names of makeup products getting longer now?? To save me Typing the extra long title out again I will just refer to them as’ Balm stains.’

The lipstick style’ Balm stains’ are very popular at the moment ,with the beauty market being flooded with them lately. Basically they are a lip balm with colour that is meant to  stain the lip to make the colour last longer. The Revlon ones have been out for awhile now and new colours  have been added to the line.

The design of these balm stains is very cute, they resemble a pencil, very similar to the Clinique chubby sticks. They are flavoured with mint oil and you can taste it on the lips. I personally like a flavoured lip product but if you don’t then avoid.

The colours are good and they do last a long time. I have checked my makeup at lunch time and I  can still see them, even after eating and drinking. I have the colours ‘Darling'{lilac pink}, ‘Honey'{Rose coloured}, and ‘Lovesick'{bright cerise pink}. Darling is the one I reach for the most and it is very bright!.

Gloss wise they are not as tacky as a regular lipgloss, I don’t find them as shiny either. A lot of Balm stains are sheer but these have good colour payoff and the colour is very buildable. Don’t be put off by the pencil type nib, it is not drying in any way and they do not drag the lip.

Do I recommend them..? yes they are a good product, very easy to throw in your bag and use, but they are not as good in my opinion as the Lip butters that Revlon do, and I would recommend them much more than the Balm stains.

What do you think of the Balm stains??. Leave me a comment!!.

Couldn’t agree more! Good product. And yea, those Revlon Lip Butters are the lip product to beat. These leave a stain behind for me that doesn’t match the swatch color…does that happen for you??

Yes I do know what you mean, the colours are not always true. I love the lip butters, they are probably my most worn lip product.x
