Sanctuary salt scrub

Face and Body May 15, 2014 Naomi

I have blogged about Sanctuary products before and I do like them, but I had never tried their salt scrub and having been previously underwhelmed by so called body scrubs I was not holding out much hope for this one. How wrong I was, it is really good!

For me exfoliating my body is a big chore, but we are all told how exfoliation removes all the dead skin making your moisturiser sink in better and leaving you with softer skin, so I do it{along with flossing and shaving my hairy parts I find it all a bit boring!}anyway.

Personally if I am using a scrub I want my skin to be really scrubbed if that makes sense. Wishy washy scrubs with small particles that are gentle on the skin are not for me. I want big coarse particles that feel like they are getting down to the lower layers of skin{not literally}. I like how clean you feel afterwards and it seems to make a big difference to the smoothness of your skin.

The sanctuary scrub is brill because it contains sea salt which we all know is very coarse. Now don’t be alarmed it is not going to sting or hurt, well that’s a lie because I had a paper cut and it stung like anything, but if you have unbroken skin then it is fine. The smell is typical sanctuary spa so if you are familiar with the range and love the iconic smell you will like this.

The ingredients include jojoba, coconut oil and almond oil so you will have super soft skin after use. I loved how soft my skin was and the lovely fragrance lingers long after your bath or shower. The texture is oily so even though it contains the salt it is slippery and soft to use.

I will definitely be repurchasing this scrub and I would go so far to say it is one of the best I have ever used. I had a sachet from boots that you can buy for around £1.75, you can then commit to getting the jar they sell for around £12 if you like it.

Leave me a comment and leave your blog links!!..

I agree with you when it comes to scrubs, no little pieces for me either, I love a chunky salt scrub that you can really feel is doing the job, I used to use the spearmint salt scrub by Cowshed and it was amazing! x

I once tried a Sanctuary Spa mask and was really disappointed with it. This sounds really nice though – I may have to give it a try 😀

Yes I like a really good scrub too! If I was to chose a scrub it would either be salt of sugar, as everything else doesn’t seem to do the job 🙂

Will definitely try out this one, especially as summer is supposedly here 🙂
