SBC Collagen Gel

Face and Body October 14, 2013 Naomi

I have been a lover of SBC products for years now. Initially a salon only brand they were showcased on QVC and proved popular so they have stocked them ever since. There are quite a few good products in the range, but for me the star of the show is the Collagen gel.

As this is a gel and not a cream it sinks in like a dream and leaves no greasy residue. The collagen in it is very moisturising  and it can be used all over the body from the eyes to the feet. I love a multi purpose product as they are so practical. It has the consistency of a serum when you apply it to the skin.

On application it is very cooling, in fact if it is hot weather and you feel like you need to cool down you can pop a bit of this in the fridge and apply it for more of  a cooling treat. It instantly hydrates and plumps the skin making it look better. I like to lay in the bath with a thick layer of this on to act as a treatment mask. Great in cold weather when your skin may be tight and flaky.

Paraben free this product is not all natural, for a start it is a bright pink colour! but it does not contain too many skin nasties. I like that it comes in a pump bottle, this for me is a much easier way to dispense product, rather than sticking your hands in a big pot, not too hygienic unless you have super clean hands. It is also great for travel or to take to the gym{not that I go to the gym, it is too much like hard work!}.

I like this product a lot, it is so easy to apply and it does a great job of moisturising the skin. Price wise it is not bad, it retails for £21.50 for 500ml. It does last for ages, I have had my bottle for months and I have not made much of a dent. Even though it is a gel it is not sticky as it is water based so it sinks in quickly. Perfume wise it has a light pleasant smell that is not overpowering.

Other gems from the range include the Collagen shower gel and the Arnica gel, great for bumps and bruises. I  also always have the Aloe vera gel in my fridge for any burns or stings.
