Superdrug Haul

Face and Body September 8, 2014 Naomi

I did a bit of Online shopping a couple of days ago now, and as we all love a good Haul Post I thought I would share with you what I got, and my first impressions of it all, you won’t be surprised to know from the title I shopped at Superdrug!. Postage was free so it was well worth getting a few bits and bobs.

Firstly I will talk about the Babylips. Now I know a lot of you have a kind of Love/ Hate relationship with them, I personally love them but I have met just as many other people that can’t stand them. Granted they are not the most moisturising balms in the world but I find if you just want a subtle wash of colour and a nice sheen then they are worth getting. I got two of the newer formulations which are the Electra Balms in the colours Pink shock and strike a rose. The Pink shock is the best of the two, the colour is so pretty and very pigmented, the strike a rose is more a sheer pop of colour.

Next I Got two of the NYC BB Blushers {BB in this case is not like the face creams it stands for beautifying blushable , whatever that means?} and is the cream to powder blushers. Now I did think oh God what have I ordered when I saw the colours up close, and hand on heart in the tube they do look a bit frightening, but on the face they look very nice and are easily blendable, plus the colour payoff is amazing. I got the colours Soho pink and Never stopping pink.

If you have read my blog before you will know I am a huge fan of the Maybelline colour Tattoo 24hr eye shadows{would love to know if anybody has tested this theory and it does in fact last 24hrs!} and I had seen swatches of the colour Permanent Taupe and loved it so I knew it was the one for me. I was right, it looks lovely on and it does last all day{just maybe not 24hrs??}.

On to Bath stuff now and the first thing I tested out I already knew I liked, just not the fragrance. I had tried the Nivea in shower body moisturiser in the Almond oil formulation and I hated the awful synthetic smell it had, not the case with the Nourishing cocoa one, it smells gorgeous! like chocolate and vanilla but a really sweet version, and I love how it lingers on your skin afterwards, Plus as we have established before I am lazy and it means I can skip the step of applying lotion.

Ever on the hunt for the worlds best Shampoo I jumped on the Argan oil bandwagon and tried out the Argan oil of Morocco shampoo. I  really like this, it left my hair soft and tangle free, smells lovely and did not weigh my fine hair down.

Lastly I wanted to get a fairly cheap bubble bath as I throw it in like nobody’s business and use half a bottle per bath. The ‘I drift away Bath soak’ says ‘relaxing’ on it and ‘de stress’ and ‘soothing’, all words I like to hear so it tempted me in. Formulation is not brilliant on this one, I do like my Organic products, but for a few pounds it does the job, smells of aloe vera which I like, and does not dry my skin out. What’s not to like?.

Overall I was pretty pleased with my Haul. Swatches of the makeup are below…

Left to right they are Never sleeping pink blush, Soho pink blush, Taupe eye shadow, Babylips in Strike a rose and Babylips in Pink shock.

Just before I go I totally forgot to mention that Superdrug kindly threw in a couple of freebies to my parcel. I was sent two mini samples of the Garnier Miracle skin cream. I have tried this, and it is made to make your skin more luminous, not sure if that is true, I don’t think the little tube will do it justice, but I do find it leaves my skin soft and well moisturised.

Also they  sent me a sample of Reveal perfume by Calvin Klein. Sorry Calvin but you can keep your not so lovely Reveal perfume, because for starters it was so strong it knocked my head off, and for another it smells of cat wee. Not for me I have to say.

Thanks for reading. Leave a comment and your Blog links!!!.

I really like Superdrug, they have a great range and some reasonable prices too. I’m also a fan of the Argan Oil, but haven’t used any of the other products.

I didn’t realise postage was free from Superdrug, I always have to go to town if I need anything from there as our little town no longer has one, awesome news.
