Ten things about me….

Chit chat April 9, 2016 Naomi

This is a tag post that was going around on youtube and in the blogging community awhile back, and every now and then it goes back around again. If like me you are nosey then you will love knowing random and useless facts about a person! Here then are mine…

  1. I always wanted to be a writer or to write in some capacity. I adore books and I was always praised in Junior school for my short stories. Combine this with my massive love of makeup and beauty and this Blog was born.
  2. My favourite music is opera hands down, if I had to pick one it would be La Traviata the tale of Violetta and Alfredo. If I want a relaxing bath I either listen to opera or a bit of Michael Buble. My daughter hates both so I am not popular in our house.
  3. I am a massive History nerd. Any show on archaeology or Romans or Tudor monarchs and I am watching it. Not surprisingly my love for the British museum knows no bounds, I have been ten times and will go more!.
  4. Speaking of the British museum My fave place in the whole world is London. If I had the money I would visit all the time, I love the shopping and the museums and the buzz, it is such a happy place for me.
  5. My ancestors were very posh. Two of my granddads built castles,{SEE BELOW} four were Barons, Lady Jane Grey is my cousin,so is William the conqueror and Earl Grey{he of the tea named after him, which I do drink}. My Grandad William Lenthall was speaker of the house of commons and my other cousin Mary de Bohun married Henry the fourth and was Henry the fifths mum. Sadly all the cash has now run out and I am not posh{only in my head!}.
  6. Shopping is my greatest vice, I could happily shop morning noon and night and I will never have enough nail varnish or clothes.
  7. When I win the Lotto{notice I said when!} I am going to give a huge chunk to charity. I am a big believer in charity and donate to Make a wish and children’s charities on a regular basis. My great x4 grandad Henry was an oddfellow and philanthropist and raised money for poor families in his area.
  8. I love gardening, I am most happy in the garden planting bulbs and sitting on my swingseat with a coffee, luckily I have a bigish garden to enjoy.
  9. I am a single mum. I was married but sadly to the wrong person for me. I have never disliked being a single mum, it is hard at times and money is not always plentiful by I am blessed with the best daughter in the whole world.
  10. Two things off my bucket list are to visit Pompeii and to stay at the Savoy in London. I would also like to kiss Tom Hiddleston but that one may be harder to achieve than the previous two!!!.

Hampton-Court-11   Hampton Court Castle

Codnor Castle  Codnor Castle ruins

That’s my list, let me know what you love to do. Leave a comment..

I’m very sad that the money ran out, we should be living on a nice estate somewhere with tennis courts and swimming pools! X
