The best face mask in the world!?

Face and Body November 4, 2013 Naomi

Now I  will start by saying that I have not tried even half of the worlds face masks so my above statement is a bit of a sham really, but I will add that I love this face mask so much I may divorce my hubby and marry this instead. I am going to talk today about the Elemis Tri enzyme resurfacing gel mask.

Firstly if you have read any of my previous posts then you will know that I  adore all things Elemis. It  is safe to say I have yet to try a product from their range that I do not like. So you may think I am a little biased when it comes to trying this face mask. Putting that  aside I tried to be balanced and tell you just why it is so brilliant and why you should go out and buy it.

The resurfacing gel mask is a product designed to smooth and resurface the texture of your skin. Containing 3 enzymes, they work to exfoliate away the dead skin cells that gang up on your skin and make it appear dull and lifeless. As the name suggests this is a gel mask and when you apply it to your face it has a instant cooling effect which is pleasant, it also tingles as the enzymes do their stuff, this is not painful in any way and I like it because it tells me it is working. The mask goes on clear so I did not bother with a swatch as there would be nothing to see!.

Elemis tell us that this product ” Targets uneven skin texture, fine lines and blemishes, Balances the skin PH level and reduces shine, and evens out the skins surface”. I would 100% agree with all that. My skin looks amazing after I have used this mask, it is so soft and smooth and any small blemishes I have definitely look better afterwards. My skin looks glowing and whenever I have a bad skin day I always reach for this mask because I know I can rely on it to make my skin look better.

Fragrance wise it has a herbal smell that I don’t go wild for but it is not unpleasant. I am a regular user of AHA’s {Alpha hydroxy acids} loving my liquid gold by Alpha H, and I do find that on my face they really do make a difference to the tone, clarity and overall look of my skin. They are always expensive, the Elemis mask is £48 for 50ml but they are well worth it.

Should you buy this mask?? yes if you have used AHA’S on your skin before and are comfortable with them. A word of warning, they can make your skin sun sensitive so always remember to use a sunscreen afterwards. The results of the mask are amazing in my opinion, and I will definitely keep using it and saving my pennies to buy more. If you know of a good mask though that is cheaper and works really well, let me know in the comments below.

I got a little sample of this a while back and I absolutely fell in love with it! It’s totally out of my price range at the minute but it’s definitely something I’d splurge on as a special treat. It’s so refreshing and it really does do what it says in the tin! x
