The Dream Box 3!!

Chit chat March 27, 2015 Naomi

Fellow Beauty bloggers and regular readers will know I flipping love the beauty boxes put together by Jane Cunningham AKA The British Beauty Blogger. They always feature great products at an affordable price that Jane has personally tested out herself.

This box contains a selection of hair face and makeup items that are worth £110 pounds, but you pay only £21.95 plus free P&P. I have had mine for a few days now and here are my first impressions and thoughts, though I have not tried everything.

The first product I tried out was the Vita Laberta fake tan with mitt. I am a lover of the look of fake tan but find the application a bit of a pain, all the prepping first and the moisturising, it is all a bit tiresome. Needless to say I don’t wear it often, but I had a wedding to go to in which I was a bridesmaid and I was wearing a particularly low cut strapless gown{not in a hooker kind of way think more classy!} and I wanted a bit of a glow. Application was really easy and though the mitt helps it is a bit small to do much. The smell at first is a bit flowery and then later you get the biscuit smell, but that did not seem too strong. Colour is nice, just enough for me with my milk bottle skin. Will see how long it lasts.

Next I have tried out the Borjois rouge edition velvet. This is a matte lip colour and I do tend to stick with a glossy finish but I genuinely loved this. I got a candy pink colour which was really pretty on my lips, Lasting power is good and it did not dry my lips out. I also tried the Makeup revolution fluid blush. Again I got a candy bubblegum pink, perfect for me. I love how easy it was to blend.

My next product to try was the Dr organic cherry lip balm. Not normally a cherry fan unless you mean the actual fruit but I like this a lot. I have to say the Organic side is a plus with me and the balm itself was good on hydrating my dry lips.

Crabtree & Evelyn Pear and Pink Magnolia Body Lotion is a real find. The smell is amazing, more pear than magnolia and so fresh and light, I put this on my arms and hours later they were very soft to the touch. Another gem is the DECIEM Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex, this targets age spots and old looking hands and makes them softer and more youthful. Smells lovely and sinks in like a dream, younger hands?? not sure yet but will keep on applying it.

Bit of a cult product now. The OLEHENRIKSEN Pure Truth Melting Cleanser has been getting rave reviews in the beauty world. Part gel part oil it melts away makeup and impurities. I liked this a lot and it made my face really soft. My only grumble is the pot is tiny and sadly did not have the massive zesty smell I was hoping for.

As for the rest of the box, the tattoos are nice for summer, the eye pencil I will give away as it was teal, not my colour, the benefit eye makeup remover will be great for travel as will the soap. I love the perfume and the Nuxe Crème Fraiche de Beauté Mask and both have been on my blog before. The Nail varnishes look fab but my daughter pinched them and so too the Salon science smoothing serum, perfect for frizzy hair.

All in all another fab little box and you can get yours here.
