Winter is Coming (Sorry, huge Game of Thrones Fan!)

Face and Body November 24, 2014 Naomi

Now that the weather has dropped colder and our thoughts turn to more substantial body creams and face moisturisers, I thought I would share with you what I like to use In the chillier months and what I think works really well.

First up I like to switch to a more luxurious shower gel. I  Love the Sbc Collagen shower gel. This is a really excellent product that leaves your skin well hydrated and soft, smells amazing, and is not too expensive considering the high quality ingredients.

For hair I swear by the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. This fab little product was made for Audrey Hepburn no less, as a hair repair treatment to add strength and elasticity to dry or fine hair. You apply this before you shampoo, leave for about 10-20 minutes and then rinse. I always see such a difference to the condition of my hair after using this, it really is worth the price tag.

For the body I am still enjoying my Palmers firming body lotion that I was trying out in the summer months, for a more in depth look at this check out my earlier blog post here. If I want something a little more high end I throw on my L’occitane almond body cream. This is a much thicker and moisturising cream that is great for dry skin, plus it smells good enough to eat!!.

For the face I like to use my Sbc Collagen gel as a face mask. Apply this thick gel onto a cleansed face and leave until it soaks in. I am a bit heavy handed with this and it does look a bit shiny and gloopy when you plaster it on, probably best not to use in front of a new beau, he may run away screaming. The collagen is great for smoothing away any fine lines and dealing with any dry patches.

Nothing will ever replace my much loved caudalie dry body oil and this is what I still turn to more often than not when I get out the bath, it is so versatile you can even use it in your hair and on your face. Unless you have had a sniff of it you won’t believe how good it smells.

Do you have any great winter products to tell me about?? Leave me a comment and your Blog links..

Some great choices! I do love how beautifully soft palmers makes my skin but the cocoa smell is too strong for me to use it too often! A nice alternative is the Garnier 7 days cocoa butter lotion – I find it very nearly as moisturising but no where near as fragrant! xx
